This video was made as part of an assignment for my teaching certification. The task was to discuss a law or policy that affects education in your country.
I chose to discuss the 1953 Bantu Education Act that was passed by the Apartheid government. Even though it's been a very long time since the Act's inception and more than 27 years since the end of Apartheid, the legacy of this Act endures, and is very visible across the educational landscape of South Africa.
